On Wednesday November 1 the Texas Rangers broke their 63 year drought of never winning a World Series. It came after sweeping back to back rounds of the wild card series against the Tampa Bay Rays and then the Baltimore Orioles in the ALDS. They then took on their in-state rival the Houston Astros and beat them in a game 7 to advance to the World Series where they would face off against a young and speedy Arizona Diamondback.
The D-Backs came in as one of the hottest teams heading into the postseason. But the lack of experience seemed to be a factor as the Texas Rangers veteran pitching staff kept the D-Backs offense quiet almost the whole series. The Rangers led by Corey Seager and Nathan Eovaldi would dominate both sides of the ball and would end up only losing 1 game in the short 5 game series. The Texas Rangers showed pure dominance throughout the playoffs and it seemed to never slow down. The Rangers would end up winning their 1st World Series on November 1st after a long season with lots of ups and downs.
